Practicing as an Architect and Urban Designer for almost 40 years has taught me the importance of aligning my values with the issues of environmental, social and economic sustainability. The biggest challenge in the design profession is to respond to the global perspective while creating uniqueness of place, identity, culture and people.

In doing so, working with community and neighborhood groups in their quest to create better environments has been very rewarding. Creating places rich in identity, to celebrate culture and engage people are at the core of our projects. The best work we do is in a collaborative environment with our client and an integrated approach with our consultants.

Over the years, my public service has included serving as Chair of the Urban Design Committee, Minneapolis Chapter of the American Institute of Architects and as a Charter Member and President of the Standish-Ericsson Neighborhood Association. I continue to enjoy great travels, biking, tent camping and the great outdoors!
