East Side Neighborhood Revitalization, St. Paul, MN

The East Side neighborhoods of Saint Paul have been devastated by the recent housing foreclosures. Lunning Wende Associates is assisting the local community development corporation in conducting resident-based workshops and to develop a strategy for repopulating these residential blocks. Central to the planning is the incorporation of an historic commercial district that runs through these residential neighborhoods.

This comprehensive planning recognizes the importance of a healthy residential neighborhood to support a neighborhood commercial area, and the importance of a vibrant commercial area to provide an asset to the residential neighborhood.
